Participants will be doing an introductory tandem skydive. A tandem
skydive is one in which you are strapped onto a very
experienced skydiver, rated by the United States Parachute
Association as a Tandem Master. The parachute rig used for
tandems is designed for two people, you are secured with a
four point attachment, any of which will hold a couple
thousand pounds. Tandem passengers up to 200 pounds are
charged $100 for the skydive. If you are over 200 pounds,
there is an additional charge of $1 per pound. If you are
below 216 pounds, you will jump from 13,000 feet. If you
are over 215 pounds, you will jump from 6000 feet.
Experienced and very talented camera-flyers (like me!) are
available to record your jump on video and still pictures.
cost of the video (with music and special effects) and 24
still pictures is $55. If you do not wish to skydive, you
are still invited! We need lots of people to be the
Cheering section (please bring large colorful pom-poms!).
Following the skydiving, we will be having a potluck
picnic. The Parachute Center has a barbecue pit you are
welcome to use, picnic tables, and a shaded grassy park
from which you can watch all the skydiving activity. Please
plan on bringing a dish to share. Alcohol is allowed in the
park area, but not in the hangar, or skydiving area during
skydiving operations. Use of alcohol is prohibited for
anyone planning to skydive prior to the jump. Contact petite_45@hotmail.com to coordinate on what type of food to bring. RSVPs are recommended,
especially if you want to jump. I need to know an
approximate number of jumpers, even though no reservations
are required. Please RSVP asap to flyincamra@aol.com
